Projects
Thanks to Floral Guernsey, we received twenty-one English oaks (quercus robur) for the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative celebrating the Platinum Jubilee.
With the permission of the Guernsey National Trust, these were planted in a field at Le Bigard with the assistance of the 4th Air Scouts, our own volunteers and helpers from the Guernsey National Trust.
Our thanks to the Guernsey Conservation Volunteers, who not only cut down the bracken in preparation for planting the trees, but have also agreed to keep the bracken in check annually.

Planting trees with Air Scouts
In conjunction with the Forest Douzaine we planted a Wedding Cake Tree (Cornus Controversa) at the Chemin Le Roi Cemetery Garden of Rest on Saturday 23 April.
A plaque will be placed on the wall nearby to commemorate the event.
