Music on the Cliffs - 2018
On Sunday afternoon 15th July 2018, more than 100 adults and children enjoyed live entertainment in a field below Le Prevôté tower. The event was fundraising for Floral Forest and Autism Guernsey, the latter highlighting their continued sponsorship from Children in Need by having Pudsey Bear there to greet the children. Peter Rabbit came along too, as well as the Lieutenant Governor Sir Ian Corder and Lady Corder.
Performers Chris Taylor on guitar, The Vraic Gatherers and GU10 encouraged people to join in with the singing. People brought their picnics and soft drinks, and cakes were available to purchase.
Autism Guernsey did face-painting and pebble painting with the youngsters, who came free.
The use of the three fields was courtesy of Keith and John Tostevin and Michael Bray, one field for the event and two for parking, and road access was one way on the day.
The views were outstanding, and the performers said it was a perfect spot.
We had sponsorship for the gazebos from the North Show, toilets by Aladdin’s Cave, and Valpy’s for the road signs.
Thanks to everyone for helping on the day a magnificent £791.35 was raised, which will be divided as £400 to Autism Guernsey and £391.35 for floral funds.
